Orbiting the Giant Hairball
by Gordon MacKenzie

Mini-review by Jim Young

This book, subtitled "A Corporate Fool’s Guide to Surviving with Grace", is perhaps the most unusual book I have ever read. The author worked thirty years to the day for Hallmark Cards, retiring with the title of "Creative Paradox." MacKenzie, in a most engaging manner, recounts tales from his Hallmark days and from his later experience as a speaker and consultant that provide lessons in how to orbit the giant hairball of corporate bureaucracy without being trapped in it. This is exactly the book I would expect to be written by a Creative Paradox. I’ll reread "Orbiting the Giant Hairball" many times.
